About Us

Sherni's Candies has been owned and operated by the Hasty family for 30 years.  We pride ourselves on using only the very best chocolate and the highest quality ingredients as that is what makes the best candy: Real Butter, Fresh Whipping Cream and the Best Grade of Nut available from a local nut company in Michigan.

Sherni's delicious chocolates are hand-made daily and are perfect for your holiday giving, wedding and party favors and corporate gifts.

Sherni's Candies History

Our business opened in July of 1979. We purchased it from a couple who lived in South Branch, Michigan. They were a older couple who wanted to get out of the business as it had gotten too much for them to take care of at their age.

We purchased the equipment from them and Mr. Sherman Kreisher said that he would help us design a building and help set up the equipment. He would then show us how to make the candies that he made and also work with us for three months to help establish our store and business.

We owned 40 acres on the corner of M- 55 & M-65 3 miles north of Whittemore MI. We put up a building and equipped it with all of the equipment he had furnished for us. He came and worked with us for 3 months and showed us everything he knew about making all the candies.
 
Now, thirty years later, Sherni's Candies carries over 90 different kinds of chocolate candies, fresh roasted nuts, 4 different kinds of Fudges, 12 different kinds of Hard Candy, Peanut Brittle and Fresh Carmel Corn varieties. We also carry a specialty chocolate treats including Chocolate Covered Potato Chips and Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Blueberries and Raspberries .
